Good, but, I might add, can be overdone.

I agree with this. But then, I'd rather they be overdone then underdone and get triggered all over the place because people didn't think to use them.

I also appreciate descriptive trigger warnings like "triggery about ed" or "tmi about blood" or whatever so that people who have issues with certain things but not others can still make informed choices about whether or not to keep reading.

I don't think it's a good or bad issue; I think it's more complicated than that. On the whole, I really hate trigger warnings, but I know a lot of people are into them.

eh well we are always the oddballs *lol* Would have said good a few years ago but now we say bad unless its like something extremely graphic while we are trying to eat haha. Other than that, life doesnt give us trigger warnings and we pretty much outgrew the need for them online. *shrugs* not judging anyone just stating our opinion(s).

i think in communities (unless specifically designated for that exact type of topic) they are very useful

however, i have always thought that in someone's personal journal that having trigger warnings are ridiculous. not of the author to use them (as i suppose that can be seen as polite), but of the reader to expect/want them.

i think a personal journal should just flow.
