I thought that I could not be any more disgusted by the Bush administration, but his response to the Israeli assault on Lebanon has proved me wrong. While the numbers killed vary widely depending on what source you use, but by any count the vast majority of the Israelis killed by the Hizbullah "terrorists" have been soldiers while the vast majority of those killed by Israel have been civilians. The word "terrorist" has become a term simply meaning "Muslim enemy", it no longer has any connection whatsoever to action.
As if on cue, Bush is rolling out the 9/11 bandwagon, that somehow a Southern Lebanese resistance movement is responsible for the attack on the World Trade Center. Bush cannot be a peace broker, he is only interested in lies and war.

Thank you, thank you so much for linking that.
As a Jew by birth if not by practice, it breaks my heart when Israel does things that play right into the hands of people who want to tar us all with that brush. Hezbollah, thanks to Israel's weak-ass military strategy, is now getting exactly what it wants: people who might never have done so before are sympathizing with them and playing down the things that they have done to civilians time and again, because Israel's atrocities are fresh in mind and memory.
Heck of a job, Israel. What'd you do, let Bush hire your military commanders?
I'm with ya. 2 weeks ago I was saying that if anything has been done here, it's changed a 20% parliamentary representation of Hezbollah into an 80% representation.
Winning a war happens the most by not fighting it.
I believe the concept that Judaism = Israel is very dangerous and is responsible for much of the recent upswing in anti-Semitism. | |
