As we'll be down two roommates, I don't foresee the [info]house_of_clocks surviving. Hence, I'm looking for a room in or within public transit of any of the following cities: Boston, MA; Lowell, MA; Northampton, MA; Brattleboro, VT; Providence, RI; Portland, OR; Portland ME; San Francisco, CA; Boulder, CO; Seattle, WA; or Minneapolis, MN. I can pay up to $400/month and have two cats. Let me know if you know of any openings. Thank you.

Chicago didn't make the short list? I feel slighted by proxy ;-)
If you change your mind on that, I know the perfect place there, that was supposed to be having a room open up; I haven't been updated on that. I don't know how the owner feels about cats, either. So really, I'm not any help at all, but the sound of my own voice echoing in my head as I type is somewhat reassuring to me at this moment ;-)

Providence has some relatively inexpensive rooms, but I haven't looked recently to know how available they are. If you do look in Providence, my suggestion is that you actually look at Pawtucket, which is the next city over and because it's not Providence, the rents are often cheaper.
