I love google news. I didn't know anything was going on with OJ Simpson until my mom asked me what I thought about it yesterday. You see, I have the entertainment section turned off and all I get is real news.

um.. it was on the front page of pretty much every media outlet (CNN, Drudge to name a couple) kinda hard to miss if you're watching the news online..

I don't go to the front page of those news sites, I just go to the articles. I use google news as my front page. Furthermore, from google news I am just as likely to end up at less fluff centric news sites such as the BBC, the Guardian, the Hindu, the Washington Post, or the Christian Science Monitor as I am at CNN or Drudge.

I think the point is that Google News allows users to disable viewing of celebrity garbage and other fluff, while still accessing real news.
