I put eating faux turkey but actually, I'll be doing Thanksgiving Italian style with eggplant parm. Vegan, too!
Italian Thanksgiving is the best, since the turkey basically goes ignored. Why bother with that when you can eat stuff that's actually yummy?
I'm actually celebrating the day on Friday, so Thursday will be a regular day at home with my love. Except I'll be doing a little cooking for stuff to bring along on Friday.
I'm actually going to spend the day with my husband's family, without him. He will possibly be spending the day with the woman he's cheating on me with, though he claims he's going to hide by himself all day.
And I'm going to bring some kind of raw vegan loaf (if I get my act together and make it tonight), some raw dip, and plenty of raw apple cinnamon raisin mash for dessert, since I have all those nice Jonnygold apples from the farmer's market that I need to use up before I go Westward Ho and all.
Heh, he read my comment up there and now he's feeling uber guilty and taking it out on me. Oh well.
So now, I spend the day by myself doing more packing and cleaning, I guess.
Well, more stuffing for me! :-)
I hope the day turns out as well as possible for you and I hope the stuffing is, well, stuffingly good.
I think ours is going to rock. My roommates are all here, and the boy came in. myrrhianna is cooking food that will have us in leftovers for a good long time (I love leftovers), and we have Karaoke Revolution and I have a box to get set up. There may or may not be other people dropping by. I have IRC running, and more people I love touching base in there, sharing their days with me. Mama will probably call, and I have an uncompromised relationship with her; I love my Mama. There is already fudge, and I have tangerines. I love tangerines. There will also be turkey, and ham, and potatoes, and green beans, and cheese, and fruit, and whatever else Myrrh takes it into her head to prepare. We will all be helping out, but on days like this, she rules the kitchen. | |
