Im not happy with the whole tracking me thing or censored stuff either. The icon limits are way better at gj but unfortunately the communities here at lj are better. Thats why we stayed.

Tracking is a feature implemented last year also known as notifications. It was quite controversial when it was introduced, but in my opinion it is the best thing since sliced bread. It is especially useful for keeping up to date with people who make infrequent posts. I also use it to watch threads in communities and friend's journals in order to keep up with interesting discussions.

How would you feel about a very very very bare blogging community ? We may

We'll miss you so much if you leave. You were one of our very first LJ friends. Yes, LJ can suck, a lot at times, but honestly, everywhere else kind of sucks, too. Blog sites just aren't so great anymore.

How about option D: Start a seperate, independent blog (on your own site or at wordpress or something) and keep this one as well. Post to both so that you get the best of both worlds, and if LJ gets really bad, you've got everything backed up and ready to go somewhere else?

I don't know anything at all about all the brouhaha, except for seeing the "flag this" thing now. So I'm not in any hurry to make any decisions. I'd hate to lose the community here, but I also can't stand companies meddling with my thoughts. So I'm taking a wait and see attitude towards things. Nothing they've done so far has impacted me directly that I know of...

Hard to say. I myself don't foresee being here much longer, but, where to go? GreatestJournal sucks now and is a shell of what it used to be, InsaneJournal is starting to slow down compared to what it was a few months ago.. I just don't see any really good options.

Frankly I say stay. I never really used tags for any of my entries so I don't really see how important they are. I always found them to be useless but apparently I'm in the minority. XD

As I said before, if you decide to leave, use greatestjournal.com. It's the exact same as LJ but better and 100% free.
