It's spring and my life is waking up. Just a few years ago, my life was extremely turbulent and my mind was an unpleasant place to be in. Everything was always in flux, but far from always in a good way.
This past year has been calmer, quieter, so stable it has bordered on a bit boring. But, it's been something I needed.
Now, things are beginning to pick up again. However, this time it's different. I can feel the motion of before, but things are clearer. This past year gives me a platform from which to launch from. It has been a place of stable mind and thought that has let me ground and center. The loops are still there in the background, but I know how to work them now. I am not afraid. My eyes are opening. I am awake.

i'd like to ask you a couple questions about current rules and the way for me to deal with 'em
1. the current 700px image size margin looks a bit outdated to me
more and more posted images are going above that
how serious are you about that 700px thing?
2. more worry to me goes from un\cut posts
i try to make a notice to authors
and most of folks do cooperate thanks to common sense ж)
my question is of minority of un\cooperative ones
they tend to not answer at all and there's no way to edit their posts
what can/may i do about this?
1) The maximum image size was decided by a community vote in 2005, but certainly can be revisited if you would like.
2) You are free to delete posts (or take any other mod actions you feel necessary) with uncooperative authors.
If you would like, I am willing to hand over "head mod" status to you. I'll stay around to help out with things, but if you want to take over the decision making process, that's fine with me.

(i'm lousy with english language and it is mostly self/tought so i can undeliberatly sound the way i wasn't intented)
1. i propose to rise the plank up to 800px/side _and_ filesize not more than 200-250Kb
(not sure it will do with some folks who don't have a clue about a filesize thing)
first/hand i decided to write to you had been about some neat posts with bigger images but anyway compressed well enough to not cause any loading trouble

I didn't take it that way. Asking if you wanted to take over is something I was considering before you asked me these questions.
i tend to disappear from the net for a long time several times a year
and i hope those times to grow longer ж)

If you want to implement your change to image size limits, go ahead. Just make a post announcing the change and update the rules.

Another thing that would be helpful for you to do is to add a Russian translation of the rules and add a few of the interests in Russian. Since this is a image-centered community, it would be nice to extend the potential users past those who can read English.
Even though I don't speak Russian: if we numbered the rules, I could copy and paste the Russian translation of the rule if I needed to ask a Russian-only speaker to adjust their post.

That would be because my email is beverly@neitherday.com :) Is nature@neitherday.com the address listed in naturesbeauty? I started the community years ago, back when all email addresses at neitherday automatically redirected to me. That is no longer the case, so most of those old address no longer work.
