The Angry Mountain

burning magma
pulses
in latent fury
the silent
snowy peak
belies
the inevitable
eruption
as the angry mountain
can no longer
keep its gentle calm
and for all its efforts
to remain still
it feels the flame
at its core
surge upward
and out
its vent
spills rivers
of molten rage
until its wrath is spent
and it can rest once more
