I just made my first post in a community.

The vet put Madeleine on a strict diet to control her weight. She was getting to the point where the vet was worried that her weight could become a health problem. Madeleine, thinking she's not fed enough, constantly tries to steal Mazzy's food. To prevent this we placed Mazzy's bowl on a shelf higher than Madeleine can jump. Madeleine is obsessed with getting to Mazzy's food shelf. By jumping on the dresser, she can get to the shelf below Mazzy's food shelf. This created a new problem: Madeleine knocking everything off the shelf trying to get to Mazzy's food. This has been going on for several months. Every day she knocks things off the shelf. While nothing on the shelf is breakable, it has become rather annoying. Today I have foiled her! I put my entire collection of spray paint on the end of the shelf Madeleine enters on. There is now no room for her to get on the shelf and wreak her havoc. She's sitting and staring in disbelief at the spray paints.

Just got back from Davis Square. Had coffee at the Diesel Café with Mitzi. We were supposed to have coffee Thursday, but Mitzi couldn't make it. I wish we could get together more often. Hopefully we'll get together for drinks and a movie sometime soon.

I just finished bringing the groceries back from the car and went to sit in front of the fan on my desk. Promptly it falls off and one of the blades breaks off. One less fan and it's supposed to heat up this week. I'm going to have to annex a fan from one of the other rooms, or I will not be able to get anything done in here.
