I hate being sick. I'm going to take some NyQuil (the nighttime sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, why did I wake up on the kitchen floor medicine) and go to bed.

I don't remember where I heard that description of NyQuil, but it fits.

Finally got in touch with the second potential therapist today. She's not going to work out either. She told me I should call Cambridge Hospital and ask about psychiatric services there. The intake person at Cambridge Hospital told me that they're only accepting new patients from Cambridge and Somerville. She told me I should call Arlington Mental Health Services. I called there, and left a message. Hopefully they'll get back to me today.

Arlington Mental Health Services is a no go, at least for now, due to insurance reasons. I'm not quite sure where to go from here. I'm going to have to wait until I see my pdoc again sometime next week, but that means I probably won't start therapy until next month (my pdoc is currently on a month-long vacation, which is why I haven't asked her for help. Not to mention the fact that I haven't seen her in three months. I'm not really sure she's going to be very eager to help.). I really wanted to just get this done.

I'm feeling much better this evening. My throat is scratchy and my voice is hoarse from all the coughing I did. Other than that, I think the nasty cold is over.

Went to Lesbian Avengers tonight. I really really want to learn how to eat fire!

At the post-Avengers pizza, I was excited to learn that one of the people present was someone on my lj friends list that I had yet to meet IRL, purplepants. I also met another LJer, pillowkisser. I love all these lj-rl connections.

Mandy gave me a ride home from the Avengers tonight. On the way, I told her about my Thesaurus Game. To play the Thesaurus Game, you need to pick two words (I often pick antonyms, but it isn't necessary). The goal is to use the thesaurus in Microsoft Word to get from one word to the other by clicking on synonyms. For example:
