I ate chips and salsa for the first time since I stopped purging. I've been avoiding getting them because they were my favorite purge food. But after my urology appointment, I decided I needed a treat. I ate them. They were good. I kept them in me.

Meditation is a difficult thing. Difficult in a different way than other things are difficult. It is not a frustrating difficult, but a relaxing difficult. It's hard to let oneself "just be", shooing away stray thoughts. I have problems with songs getting stuck in my head, unlike thoughts, those are harder to shoo away. But it is possible. But, during and after the effort, I find myself calm. Unlike other efforts that are exhausting, this effort is refreshing. I'm not new to focusing my mind, I've learned to do so in practicing magick. But I am not used to focusing on nothing. However, learning to do this will help me better focus when it comes to practicing magick.
I know I've just started the habit of meditation, and it will get easier with time. But I already feel like a different person. Like this is going to be an important part of my wellness.

The second spiritual law talked about in The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra is the "Law of Giving". As with the first law, this law resonates with my beliefs. He explains the way to receive what you want is to give freely of it, therefore creating a circulation of that thing around you, be it wealth, love, attention, etc. It suggests always having a gift for everyone you meet and whenever you visit someone. I used to give everyone I met a wish pod. I stopped doing it because I got too lazy to keep painting them. Tomorrow I will start painting wish pods again, and make sure I always have them on hand. I am poor, so my gifts I give cannot cost much money. But, I agree with Deepak Chopra that a gift can be something as simple as a smile and a complement. I, however, will work more on making small gifts for people. It will make me more crafty, which is something I've been wanting to do anyway. The biggest thing this book is encouraging me to do is to get off my lazy ass and do stuff. I haven't even been reading lately, I have been spending most of my time doing nothing. That's got to change. Nothing brings nothing. I've been stuck in a rut and I'm going to get out of it.
