Negative Divination

are you looking to function?
first, understand the surface
the shape of an old smoke screen
often belies what is underneath

long days euthanize hope
passing by faded photographs and sick cats
finding that the differences determine meaning
nothing results in nothing

circumstances crystallize in fine grains
everyday evil walks across the platform
and mulberry wine drips slowly from a glass
can you interpret the signs?
