Meditation is a difficult thing. Difficult in a different way than other things are difficult. It is not a frustrating difficult, but a relaxing difficult. It's hard to let oneself "just be", shooing away stray thoughts. I have problems with songs getting stuck in my head, unlike thoughts, those are harder to shoo away. But it is possible. But, during and after the effort, I find myself calm. Unlike other efforts that are exhausting, this effort is refreshing. I'm not new to focusing my mind, I've learned to do so in practicing magick. But I am not used to focusing on nothing. However, learning to do this will help me better focus when it comes to practicing magick.

I know I've just started the habit of meditation, and it will get easier with time. But I already feel like a different person. Like this is going to be an important part of my wellness.

Every so often I get bored check [info]nerutenkaze's friends list. I've kind of been reading your posts for like 3 years.

Anyway, I was thinking the same things recently. I've been trying to astrally project, but sometimes I'll be like, "It's too hard, I'll just go to sleep instead.", but I'd still just be lying there. It's the clearing the mind part thats hard. I get songs in my head too. It's hard to leave your body when you can't stop hearing the Square Pegs theme.

Oh well, we were thinking the same thing so I thought I'd say hi.

Meditation is easier for me if I use triggers. Dragon's blood incense, candle light, certain music all help me get to that state of mind.
