Unsuccessful Journey

Date and Time  - Jul. 30th, 2001, 04:56 pm

Current Mood  - disappointed disappointed
Current Music  - SinĂ©ad O'Connor - Mandinka

Back from my excursion out to find wing material, check the mail, and refill my Spironolactone. First stop was the 5 and 10 to look for material. They didn't have what I needed, but by the time I'd reached it the backs of my feet (especially my left foot) were in pain.

I made my way to the post office, picked up my mail. Nothing really interesting; just bills, junk mail, and catalogs. By the time I'd reached the post-office I was walking with a hobble, as my feet were killing me. I decided not to continue on to Walgreens, and instead headed back home.

On the way, so as not to make the effort a total loss, I stopped by the hardware store and picked up some door hinges so I can reattach the livingroom door -- A necessity now that we are soon to have roommates.

Back home I quickly slipped off my shoes to find, unsurprisingly, large ripped blisters on the backs of both my feet. I can't wait until these damn shoes are broken in. It's little wonder I completely wear my shoes out before seeking a new pair. I know I will have to make the trek to Walgreens later tonight, as I am completely out of Spironolactone. I may just go ahead and wear my dying old shoes. They may be falling apart, but at least my feet won't be.
