The more I think about it, the more I know Rob killed himself. Over the past couple years, I've found myself repeatedly looking at his last entry, trying to make sense of it. Or perhaps, trying to avoid making sense of it. He rode his bike off that cliff intentionally. He felt dead when he was alive. He wanted to be alive, and thought death was the only way to accomplish that. I hope he found what he was looking for. I miss him. |

Rob ( mutehalo) was a good person. He was kind to everyone, didn't have a mean bone in his body. I've missed him since he went missing in August and they found him at the bottom of a cliff yesterday. Apparently he was riding his bike in the woods and went off the side of it. It was an accident. In that I was glad. I was worried something more sinister happened to him. At least it was quick. Goodbye Rob. You are missed. You are loved. Always. |

I just went back to the gas station and filled up my front tire. These little accomplishments today are adding up to one really good feeling.

I rode my bike up to Bagels By Us, for the best egg and cheese bagel in Arlington. On the way back, I noticed my front tire was a bit flat, so I rode up to the gas station next to my house to pump air into it. However, the pump must be turned off, because all it did was let the existing air out of the tire. I walked my bike the rest of the way home. I'm going to go back to the gas station later today after it opens and see if the machine is turned on then or if it is just broken. If it is broken I guess I'll just have to wait until they fix it to ride my bike again, as I don't know of any other place to fill my tires in walking distance. Regardless of the tire issue, I had a wonderful time riding my bike around this morning. Everything seemed so fresh and crisp. It had just rained making the air clean and pleasant smelling. If I had the money to get an egg and cheese bagel every day I think I might just make it a regular habit to go to Bagels By Us. However, I must budget, and while $3 a sandwich may be worth it, I cannot afford to buy them consistently. I will however continue to treat myself now and again.

Been riding my bike back and forth from purpleglitter's apartment several times a day. In a few minutes I'm going to take it to the post office to mail the overdue gas bill. I still need to get a lock for it so I can ride it to Davis Square. I also would like to get a light and some baskets, but those are less important. I love my bike. |

I bought a bike at a yard sale for $10. I already have a new sense of freedom. I have wheels.
