Project Five - Attempt 2, Day 2

Date and Time  - Feb. 11th, 2007, 08:53 am

Current Mood  - groggy groggy
Current Music  - budgies not sleeping

Yesterday didn't work at all for Project Five. For breakfast I had spaghetti in tomatoe sauce with mushrooms, peppers, and parmesan cheese; for lunch I had vegetable and paneer pakoras followed by shahi paneer korma with rice and naan, for a healthy snack I had tortillas with spinach and garlic hummus.

I did no real exercise and only ate 2 meals and 1 snack as opposed to 3 meals and 2 snacks. So, no dice on day 2.

Current Mood  - mellow mellow
Current Music  - budgies gurgling

For breakfast yesterday I had pizza; for lunch I had pakora kadhi on forbidden black rice; for dinner I had flat bread pizza with mushrooms at the Flat Bread Café in Bedford. I didn't have a healthy snack, nor did I get any exercise. However, I did have some banana bread with ice cream. So, there!

Current Mood  - hot hot
Current Music  - fan

The food part went perfectly: For breakfast I had spaghetti covered in tomatoe sauce with green and black olives, mushrooms, and parmesan cheese; for lunch I had a vegetable pakoras and samosas, for dinner I had a veggie burger and fries, and for my health snack i had nicoises olives. However, I didn't get any exercise and that is the area I need most to work on at this point.

Project Three Meals - Attempt 6, Day 12

Date and Time  - Sep. 22nd, 2005, 09:56 am

Current Mood  - groggy groggy
Current Music  - traffic

Didn't do as well yesterday. Only a small amount of exercise, nowhere near my 30 minute goal. As far as food goes, I had an egg and cheese everything bagel for breakfast, spaghetti o's for lunch, and paneer vindaloo with rice and garlic naan plus some pakoras for dinner. However, I didn't eat a healthy snack. Not eating when I should is just as much a deviation from Project Three Meals as eating something I when I shouldn't. Trying gets me a better handle on my food intake and makes me pay more attention to what I eat, even if I don't alway succeed in my goals.

Trapped

Date and Time  - Nov. 19th, 2002, 04:19 pm

Current Mood  - pessimistic pessimistic
Current Music  - Mazzy Star - Disappear

[info]purpleglitter and I had pakoras for lunch. I did fine with those. However, a few hours later, I bought some junk food and did a binge and purge. The baby steps with the pakoras yesterday and today, lead me right back into eating mode. Once I start eating, I can't stop. And then, I start purging. The only way I seem able to not purge is to stop eating completely. I'm so tired of purging, I don't know what else to do. Eating always ends up in disaster.

Do You Admire the View

Date and Time  - Nov. 19th, 2002, 04:29 am

Current Mood  - sleepy sleepy
Current Music  - Poe - Fly Away

Around 7:00pm, Mitzi came over to watch Stigmata, a movie I recently purchased.

Before the movie, we decided to get pakoras. I hadn't eaten anything, and thought I might eat with someone else. It is sometimes easier to do that when I can convince myself it is an expected social activity. I don't know if I can pull off the same thing tomorrow, I'll see when I get there. I also know one order of pakoras is not a good nutritional intake for the day, but it is better than nothing.

[info]pillowkisser joined us for the movie. She is a fabulous roommate. I love living with someone that not only accepts my psych issues, but can relate to many of them as well. Much can go unsaid, but understood. I think we can help each other a lot.

-----

Mitzi told me that Bob of Sinister was hit by a car last week. What is it with my friends getting hit by cars this year? First Kat, now Bob. Bob is at home recovering, but he had brain hemorrhaging, and it is unknown if there will be permanent damage. Please let there not be. Bob is such a kind, wonderful, gentle soul. I hope and hope he keeps all the gifts he has.

-----

Around 11:00pm; [info]pillowkisser, [info]riga_mortia and I went to [info]purpleglitter's apartment and she drove us back. The reasons we had to go over there just to come back were complicated, but I'm glad she made the trip. [info]purpleglitter and I had some very good talks in my room. I miss what we once had. I'm glad we're still close close friends. And, that as close close friends, we can still share so much with each other. But, losing what we had was the biggest mistake of my life.

Surprise Visit

Date and Time  - Nov. 9th, 2002, 03:04 pm

Current Mood  - grateful grateful
Current Music  - silence

[info]dan4th surprised me by randomly showing up at the [info]house_of_clocks.

We got pakoras for lunch at Chai Café in Arlington Center. The pakoras at Punjab are yummy and cheap. Punjab's tamarind sauce is excelent as well. Good tamarind sauce is a necessity to smother the pakoras in. I have a feeling I'm going to become a regular customer.

After lunch, [info]dan4th took me to the hardware store where I picked up some things for a project I'm working on at the [info]house_of_clocks.

Next we went to a tent sale at Video Horizons. I picked up two movies: Stigmata and Cecil B. Demented.

[info]dan4th is a wonderful friend. One that I'm time and time again thankful I have. Things often seem much clearer after talking to him. I hope he randomly shows up more often.

Infirmary of Clocks

Date and Time  - Oct. 7th, 2002, 01:29 pm

Current Mood  - mellow mellow
Current Music  - Garbage - Stupid Girl

Late yesterday afternoon, I met Sara in Harvard Square to discuss housing issues and get some paperwork filled out. I had completely forgotten about the Octoberfest celebrations in Harvard Square. The entire square was packed. I walked around looking at the various vendors' wares. I stopped at one of the various tables offering Indian food, and got some really cheep pakoras which I smothered in tamarid sauce.

After the meeting with Sara, I met up with [info]riga_mortia. We went back to my place, where we painted and played writing games. [info]riga_mortia was feeling slightly under the weather, however, we still stayed up later than we intended talking, writing, drinking, and listening to music.

In the morning, [info]riga_mortia's slightly under the weather had bloomed into an full blown cold. For a nice sick person breakfast, I fed her chicken and rice soup. Being vegetarian, it's surprising that I had a can of it lying around. I'm not sure where I got it at this point, it has been languishing on the back of my food shelf for quite some time and I've never gotten around to throwing it out or giving it away.

As [info]riga_mortia rested, I made a quick run to see Jude and drop off some paperwork. The housing issue seems to be moving ahead, which is good. However, the sum of all the incomes of the tenants I've lined up is less than what Jude was pushing for. While together we can definitely afford the place, that could be a problem. However, I'm going to have to risk it.

[info]riga_mortia is still running a fever, I hope she feels better soon. I'm going to go out to the corner store shortly and pick her up some Gatorade and cold medication.
