| Spring!!! | ||
Spring has arrived. Soon, the plants my sister and brother are sending me for my birthday will start arriving and I'll be able to put the compost to good use. They are sending me 3 butterfly bushes, 3 red latham raspberry bushes, and 6 oriental poppies. I'm very excited about gardening this year. I haven't done any gardening since I rented the house in Columbia, Missouri and grew carrots out back. It was a very small house with a small yard, but it was a house with a yard and it was $185/month. Wow, that price seems great now, I couldn't rent a room for that around here these days. It's a different season here, in more ways than just not being winter anymore. | ||

| UPS Sucks | ||
I just went down to UPS to return some Verizon components. Verizon had given us a return UPS label, so there wasn't really a choice who to use. I had to buy a box there, and for one small package box I was charged $4.50. U-Haul charges less than $4 for their large boxes. UPS apparently sells moving boxes as well now, but given the prices of their small shipping boxes, I can't imagine how much they're charging for the moving boxes. UPS is rather pointless anyway (unless your a large corporation with a mass shipping deal). FedEx is faster and more reliable, the USPS is cheaper. UPS seems the worst of both worlds and I tend to avoid them unless I'm required to use them like today. | ||

This afternoon, I received my first package at my new residence. A housewarming gift from my sister. I hope I can keep good care of it, I've never had much of a green thumb. | ||

| Moving | ||
I've been holding off posting this until the lease was signed so as not to jinx things. However, getting everything done by snail mail between California and Massachusetts has been taking a bit longer than we anticipated, and I can't stand not to mention it. So at the risk of jinx, I post this anyway: I will miss the Things are changing so fast. You'd think I'd be used to rapid change by now. Perhaps I am, and I'd just have to experience a period of time without rapid change to notice. | ||

| Medical Progress | ||
I got a letter Friday from my primary care nurse. The letter was dated Tuesday, the day after I saw my endo. The letter informed me that she set me up with an appointment for an MRI (albeit non-gallium based). I guess my endo lit a fire under her ass. My endo is good. I have an appointment with my primary care nurse tomorrow about getting an referral to a rheumatologist. The letters constitute a slight change is sea, and I am optimistic that my appointment tomorrow will go well. | ||

I get back home and find a letter from MassHealth telling me my benefits were cut as of the 21st. I called the number on the letter immediately, as I know this is an error as I was told I would not be cut. I was told I'll get a call back tomorrow, but I'll be in the partial program then. I can't get my new prescription tonight. Grrrr... I'm going to call my intensive case manager tomorrow and talk to her about it. | ||

I went to the therapy intake this morning. It went very well. I have a therapist I'm going to start seeing on a weekly basis. Finally, it seems I'm going to get the psych care I need. ----- After the intake, | ||

Until today, we didn't know how to turn on the chandelier in the playroom. We thought it must be broken. However, today, ----- I received two letters from I should have received her letters several weeks ago, but I haven't been checking my post office box very frequently. I should direct people send mail to my home address from now on. The post office box served a purpose before we moved. The mailbox at the old place wasn't very secure, and we had numerous instances of disappearing mail. However, here at the new ----- After dropping off Mitzi in Davis Square, | ||

I felt good leaving a good comment. CSB is so so much better than Fleet. Fleet simply sees customers as dollar signs. At CSB I feel like a person. ----- On the agenda for tomorrow, I have a meeting with Susan, my MBHP intensive case manager, and Harriett, my community case manager. My lawyer has informed me that she wants to be present for the meeting as well. This should be interesting. | |||

This afternoon, I talked to Hotmail's policy of deactivating an email accounts that are inactive for 30 days has screwed her over. She needs a free account that doesn't care if she can't access it for long stretches of time, so I gave her one at neitherday.com. I also gave her my snail mail address. We're going to be pen pals. ----- ----- After ----- I got off at the wrong stop, but still met | ||

| Parting Stormy Seas | ||
prettyshygrrl came over. We sat and talked for some time. She helped me blow off steam and get my bearings. I hope I did the same for her. She's a wonderful person, I wish the stormy seas could part for her, as well as for so many of my other friends. Far too many of my friends are struggling to weather tempests right now. ----- prettyshygrrl gave me her old computer, a 300Mhz P2, which is 33% faster than my current computer. I'm going to have to do a bit of hard drive swapping before I can use it. With | ||

| Disability Mess | ||
----- Stressed out today. Dealing with Social Security Disability. They resent me some papers that I have to sign and send back (I lost them the first two times they sent them to me). Only the papers that they sent me are BLANK. Now I have to go into the office today to try to get them to print me out some more. If not, I have to wait until they can resend the forms yet again. I'm sure I'm highly annoying them. I hate bureaucracies! I have the sinking feeling I'm going to run through all these loops and wait and wait and then simply be turned down again. It's all very disheartening. | ||
