“Hi, they finally arrived. It's the same crew that move Anthea and we're back to the 3 guys, so the original rate. there are nice guys and they did a really good job moving Anthea.
So, hopefully, now that everything's been sorted out and they're here, everything will go well with the rest of the move and of course I'm going to knock on some wood for that. There, I just did it. I don't know if you can hear the knocking on the wood, but I did. Here, just so you can hear it. There, see? Probably heard it that time, eh?
I've found out more about what went on back in Saint Louis. Apparently the security check we went through which I thought was ridiculous, because they had you walk through the line and then go back to the end of the line after you'd gone through the security check. It seemed relatively easy to just get into the line without going through the security check. I thought it was rather stupid at the time because of that.
But, realize it was actually pretty sneaky. What they did was when you went through the check, they put a small orange sticker on your ticket. Getting on the bus, they flagged anyone who didn't have that orange sticker. The two people who got busted didn't go through the security check and when they got of the bus [security] subjected their bags to an extra-intense screening and, i guess, found the drugs on them.
I still don't know if I'm going to be too late getting into Chicago. But, it looks like since we were only 15 minutes late and I was scheduled for a 30 minute layover, we should be able to make it.
The phone and DSL are back up and the ice is melting a bit. However, we're supposed to get a few more waves of ice later today and early tomorrow. After my voice post this morning, I went outside to take some photos and in the few minutes I was out there I heard a tree collapse in the woods nearby. My brother tells me he could hear several large branches or whole trees falling every this morning near him.

I ordered my bus tickets online last night, but ended up with the wrong time for my departure from London. The confirmation has me leaving at 3:50AM, but there is no way I can get a ride to London at that hour. I was planning for my departure time to be 8:00PM. Talking to a Greyhound Canada representative on the phone, I was told that I could use the tickets for any departure time as long as they are for the same day and the same person. I should be fine
For breakfast I had faux duck ramen, for lunch I had mac and cheese with black beans, for dinner I had tomatoe soup with mozzarella cheese, and for my healthy snack I had wasabi peas.
I got in more than enough exercise in a long walk that took me down Mass Ave to a tree-lined trail along the sludge river, then over Clarendon Hill, through Teele Square, and finally to Davis where I got a french soda at the Diesel Café.
Same as before: 3 reasonable meals and 1 healthy snack, no more no less. No junk food. 30 minutes of exercise a day.
I know my success rate has not been very high in recent Project Three Meals attempts, but as I have repeatedly stated: success is to be strived for, but is not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is to have more control over and consciousness about what I'm eating and how much exercise I'm getting.
Wish pods are specially gathered water caltrops, often called water chestnuts. In order to be wish pods, they must be found floating in the water, not washed ashore. Also when gathering wish pods, one pod must be returned to a body of fresh water different from the one the pods were gathered from, with the blessing "Good Journey."
Once properly gathered, wish pods are generally painted. Although this is not necessary for wishes, painting helps harmonize the luck of the pod. Wish pods always bring good luck, but bring the best luck if received as a gift.
To use the wish pod, place it in the room you spend the most time in. When you place your wish pod in the room, state your wish under your breath three times. No one else should hear your wish. Remember: the bigger the wish, the longer it will take to be fulfilled.
Placement in the room is important. Place the wish pod in the area of the room that most corresponds to your wish:
North — if you wish for money or material items. East —- if you wish to better understand something or someone, or are wishing for knowledge or enlightenment. South — if you wish for change. West — if you wish for love or a closer relationship with loved ones. Center — if you wish for balance, harmony or peace.
I haven't been wearing make-up lately. I feel happy about that most of the time, but today I got he'd by the registration clerk at the center street clinic. I corrected him, and he made a feeble attempt at calling me she, but soon after said that he'd "send him up". I know that I pass better with make-up, but I don't want to be ashamed of how I look without it. I don't want to be ashamed of being a tranny. Wearing make-up just to pass in a way is being ashamed. Passing isn't everything, but it sure feels good. I don't want to be picked out, at the same time I don't want to hide behind face-paint. At this point I think I'm going to continue to use make-up sparingly, only for special events. It's tempting to go back to wearing it all the time, but the cost alone should rule that out. I'm saving so much money by not wearing the tons of make-up I once did. I think I'll stick with not wearing it, but if I get he'd too much I may reconsider. I don't want to, but passing is more than a vanity issue, it's also a safety issue. I'm a lot less likely to be harassed on the street if I pass. I haven't been harassed in a long time *knocks on wood*, but it is still a concern of mine. If I start getting harassed again, I'll probably go back to wearing make-up and be very pissed off at the world for making me do it.
Lake made me breakfast and coffee this morning when I woke up. When I sat down at the table, I saw a ladybug walking by my plate. I put my finger down and the ladybug crawled onto it. It walked all over my arm, checking me out. I put my finger back on the table and the ladybug crawled along on its way. It's going to be a good day.
