I hit the motherlode of Doctor Who videos at Goodwill today! I got a little over 20 of them. I know that might sound a big crazy, but I couldn't help myself as even one is a rare find in the thrift stores. I got my favorite serial as well, Logopolis. I also got a Powerpuff Girls video, Dead Poets Society, an abacus, the Bad Cat book, and a pair of shiny purple satin pants. One of my best trips to goodwill ever!

I finally found a place that will fill my new prescription for injectable estradiol: the Stop & Shop Pharmacy in Arlington Heights. They are going to have to order it from their distributer, but that is more than anyone else was able to do. I will be able to pick them up tomorrow. Now I need to set up an appointment with the nurse that will instruct me on giving myself shots. ----- My landlord actually gave me a ride to the Stop & Shop Pharmacy. I was surprised by the offer, but I took him up on it. Afterwards, he asked if I wanted to go with him to his favorite thrift store in Arlington, which is located in the basement of the Fox Library and only runs two days a week. I didn't even know it existed, so I decided to go with him. The prices were very nice and the stuff was not terribly picked through. I was able to pick up a couple nice items without spending much money.

| Looking West | ||
I have been contemplating moving to Portland, OR. Portland is a liberal city with a nice public transit system. It has milder winters and summers than New England. With all that, the rents are about half that of the Boston area. Unlike SSI, the amount I get from SSDI doesn't vary with my housing costs, which means saving $200 on rent puts $200 extra in my pocket. I've long said that an extra $200 a month would be all I really need to be reasonably happy. Right now, I feel crippled socially, because I can't really go out to coffee houses and other various gathering places with friends on any sort of regular basis. $200 a month would allow me to do that and also get some new used clothing at the thrift stores. I don't know how I can make that extra money in Boston without jeopardizing my benefits. There are various illegal options available to me, and while they are tempting, I'm far too afraid of jail and prison to explore those routes. Any move to Portland won't happen until at least next fall, and even then would be contingent on a number of factors. If the housing bubble in Boston actually bursts, the move might not even be pointful, as rents here would be driven down. I'd wager even money on that happening.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to the Salvation Army with ----- After we got back from the Salvation Army, we went and fed the geese at Spy Pond. Even the swans ate out of my hand. Only the ducks are too timid. Or too short. Or are simply afraid getting in front of the geese. A woman who had her toddler at the pond brought her to see the bubbles. She loved playing in the bubbles. She stayed for about ten minutes as I blew bubbles at her. It was big fun. She kept reaching his hand out trying to catch one. They always seemed to miss her hand and hit her face. She didn't seem to mind. In fact she laughed every time one hit her face. I took much time to smell the flowers on the way back. Spy Pond is a little piece of paradise right in Arlington. ----- After Spy Pond, we sat and talked in the livingroom fo an hour or so, then ----- Back at home,

However, today, ----- I received two letters from I should have received her letters several weeks ago, but I haven't been checking my post office box very frequently. I should direct people send mail to my home address from now on. The post office box served a purpose before we moved. | I'm Home!
I'm home!! Oh, how excited I am to be home!! I'm so very very happy to be out of that place. On the way home I probably have digested more calories since I left Anna Jaques than the entire time I was there! My eating problems got so out of control in there. Most days, I purged 5 or 6 times. It'll be a hard task over the next few days to try to get my eating problems back where they were before I went in. Then, maybe, I can consider progress. I'm going to make a series of posts about my stay at Anna Jaques. There's too much for just one post, so I'm going to make a post for each day, starting with Wednesday.

| Shirley Temple | ||
Madeline is so cute! She's very big for 2. She looks a lot like Shirley Temple. Much more so than the child actress who plays Shirley Temple in the new movie on TV. She's got the cutest banana curls. We went to Boston Public Gardens. Madeline loved the squirrels. She kept trying to feed them, but they wouldn't come up and take the food from her hand, so she'd end up throwing the food at them. She wanted to see and feel everything. Every rock, every tree, everything. Her big eyes just beaming to take in a world of marvelous things. She collects rocks. She loves them. Next time I see her I'm going to make sure I have a nice rock to give her. After the walk, Madeline was tired so Bridgette left her with Christian's (Madeline's father) mother. Bridgette, Christian, and I then went to get lunch. Christian is a very nice person. Very intelligent. I got along with him well. On my way home, I stopped at 7 or 8 shops looking for cat's eye glasses. Didn't find any.

| Yesterday and Today | ||
Yesterday, after the roommate interview, I went to the Salvation Army Thrift Store and picked up a couple new outfits. One of them I really like (a red crinkled blouse), as it is incredibly flattering. We rented Legally Blonde last night. Bad. Really bad. Kat came over last night. I don't get to see enough of her, she's quite the social butterfly. Today, the only real plan I have is to go grocery shopping at Market Basket. Other than that, I really should try to write something or do some art. I'm often too lazy about those things.
