Project Five - Attempt 2, Day 3

Date and Time  - Feb. 12th, 2007, 08:47 am

Current Mood  - groggy groggy
Current Music  - budgies not sleeping

For breakfast yesterday I had rotini and faux italian sausage in a jalapeño jack sauce; for lunch I had a veggie burger with cheddar; for dinner I had french bread pizza topped with faux italian sausage; for my first healthy snack I had a clementine; for my second healthy snack I had pumpkin seeds.

I got in plenty of exercise with a non-direct cigar walk to Stop & Shop.

Success.

Project Three Meals - Attempt 15, Day 3

Date and Time  - Aug. 22nd, 2006, 11:49 am

Current Mood  - tired tired
Current Music  - budgies squabbling

Ugh. For breakfast I had masala ramen, for lunch I had two servings of bhindi masala on red cargo rice (one would have been a reasonable meal), for dinner I had a veggie burger. I had nothing that would be considered a healthy snack. Around 1am I stir fried up soy sauce marinated gluten, peanuts, and baby corn. I also had some cookies and got no exercise. Ah well, so be it. I'm still going to keep trying.

Project Three Meals - Attempt 13, Day 3

Date and Time  - Jul. 10th, 2006, 01:29 am

Current Mood  - exhausted exhausted
Current Music  - air conditioner

For breakfast I had grilled cheese (muenster on Ezekiel 4:9) with half a pickle, for lunch I had rotini in tomatoe sauce with parmesan cheese, for dinner I had a veggie burger with fries, I had no healthy snack. I did get in my exercise quota for the day with my walks. In the early evening, my mood dipped down pretty low and I binged on greasy popcorn and chips and salsa.

Low moods often spell trouble for Project Three Meals, because when I'm in a low mood I often cease to care about Project Three Meals and sometimes even sabotage the project on purpose as a form of "self-destruction". This form of self destruction is very minor compared to some of the things I have done in the past. Perhaps having this self-destructive outlet actually helps keep me away from the more damaging self-destructive behaviours, being relatively innocuous outlet for those urges. My failures may actually be improvements.

For breakfast I had rotini primavera in tomatoe sauce with mushrooms and parmesan cheese; for lunch I had faux lamb, baby corn, and potatoes in caramelized soy sauce and hot red chili oil; for dinner I had a veggie burger with fries; and for my healthy snack I had a pickle. I got in well over 30 minutes of exercise in a morning quasipseudorandom walk around Arlington. Success on the first day, pretty good!

Project Three Meals - Attempt 12, Day 15

Date and Time  - Jun. 26th, 2006, 04:42 pm

Current Mood  - drained drained
Current Music  - budgies in conference

I know it's a bit late in the day for this post, but here goes. Yesterday I had spaghetti o's topped with mozzarella for breakfast, mac and cheese with black beans for lunch, a veggie burger with fries for dinner. I had a pickle for my healthy snack. I also ate a cookie and didn't fulfil my exercise quota.

I have been considering giving up on Project Three Meals, but I think I'll keep going for now.

Project Three Meals - Attempt 12, Day 7

Date and Time  - Jun. 18th, 2006, 11:21 am

Current Mood  - hot hot
Current Music  - fan

The food part went perfectly: For breakfast I had spaghetti covered in tomatoe sauce with green and black olives, mushrooms, and parmesan cheese; for lunch I had a vegetable pakoras and samosas, for dinner I had a veggie burger and fries, and for my health snack i had nicoises olives. However, I didn't get any exercise and that is the area I need most to work on at this point.

Project Three Meals - Attempt 9, Day 1

Date and Time  - Mar. 19th, 2006, 09:36 am

Current Mood  - groggy groggy
Current Music  - budgies gurgling

Yesterday, I ate spaghetti o's with a slice of american cheese for breakfast, 2 veggie burgers for lunch, shells in garlicy parmesan & romano sauce for dinner, and a mango as my healthy snack. I however had a small amount of chips and salsa and didn't get any exercise, so didn't quite make it. While Project Three Meals isn't about 100% success, I can do better and will try to do better today.

Need coffee now.

Out and About

Date and Time  - Aug. 14th, 2005, 11:40 pm

Current Mood  - mellow mellow
Current Music  - lake watching law & order

Thursday, [info]zarthon took [info]purpleglitter and I to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Michelle, Howard, and Alex. I had little doubt that it would be amazing with the combination of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. Depp was truly unique as Willy Wonka, with a very grown-up child performance. Something was definitely amiss in Willy's brain, and I like that. Crazy is good, and positive crazy characters are even better. I've never seen the 1972 adaptation with Gene Wilder, I have read Roald Dahl's book so I already knew the general plot.

After the movie, the six of us went to dinner at Bennigans. The veggie burger there was so realistic that I thought they had actually gave me a meaty burger. But, [info]zarthon (an avid meat aficionado) tasted the burger and assured me that it was most definitely not meat. I was still a bit hesitant to eat it, but I was hungry and trusted [info]zarthon's meat tasting abilities.

[info]scattermew came over to the [info]house_of_clocks today. We hung out in my room watching the light show in the sky. A house across the street got nailed. It was actually the building that houses the electrology office that I had some work done at in 1999. I never ended up getting the whole job done, only about 20% of it. But that is a tangent.

In the middle of the storm we decided to walk to the Chai Café. We stopped briefly in front of Video Horizons, where [info]scattermew hid under the overhang. I stood between the street and the sidewalk and held the umbrella as high I as could yelling "lightning!". The pole in the umbrella is metal, but not 10 feet long, so I it really wasn't quite the right tool for the Ten Foot Metal Pole Dance.

At the chai café I had Chole Kulcha and a Limca, my usual. It was as usual, quite good.

-----

This evening [info]purpleglitter and I went to the Super 88. It's a large Asian supermarket in at the South Bay Plaza in Boston about a half hour drive from the [info]house_of_clocks. Unfortunately, when we got back to Arlington, I realized that I forgot my pocketbook in my carriage. We had to drive all the way back to get it, causing [info]purpleglitter to miss all her Sunday shows. I'm always making stupid mistakes like that.

Project Three Meals - Attempt 3, Day 1

Date and Time  - Jan. 11th, 2005, 10:28 pm

Current Mood  - mellow mellow
Current Music  - silence

I almost made it today. I had 2 soft boiled eggs for breakfast, Mac & Cheese for lunch, and raisins for my healthy snack. But for dinner I had a Burger King veggie burger with fries with [info]dicotomygrrl. It would have been a reasonable meal if I skipped the fries. I also didn't do my half hour of exersize. I need to do better tomorrow.

Veggie Burgers

Date and Time  - Nov. 19th, 2001, 07:15 pm

Current Mood  - accomplished accomplished
Current Music  - Culture Club - Do You Really Want to Hurt Me

I ate two veggie burgers for dinner. After eating them, I felt as if I had eaten too much. I know logically that it wasn't, but I was really tempted to purge. Too keep my mind of purging, I watched some TV. After watching TV, I exercised to relieve the rest of the guilt feelings. I know I still need to work on my body image problems, but at least I stopped myself from purging. It's a start.

The purging has really gotten out of hand the last few days. I purged five times yesterday. None today. It's hard, but I'm going to quit.
